About Me

My approach is rooted in the realization that healing unfolds through connection — to story, to movement, to breath, and to the deeper wisdom within each person.

My Approach

I blend therapeutic dialogue with creativity, movement, and mindful practices to create a safe and supportive space where curiosity, self-discovery, and healing can unfold. Together, we follow what feels most meaningful and supportive for you—whether through conversation, storytelling, creative expression, movement, or breathwork.

My work is trauma-informed, person-centred, and grounded in  compassion, creativity and cultural sensitivity. I support adults, teenagers, and groups experiencing

– anxiety

– stress

– burnout

– grief

-trauma

-relationship challenges

– life transitions

– and the everyday complexities of being human.

Qualifications & Background

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University (USA) and a Master’s degree in Dramatherapy (Creative Arts Therapy) from the University of Hertfordshire (UK). With over 20 years of experience in psychotherapy and creative arts therapy, I integrate evidence-based practice with creativity, mindfulness, and embodied approaches. I am also a certified yoga teacher, have taught yoga and meditation for over a decade, and remain inspired by my lifelong practice of Indian classical dance and music.

Born in Malaysia and of Sri Lankan Tamil heritage, I have lived in Malaysia, England, the United States, and now Iceland. My multicultural background and experience of living across different countries continue to inform my work with people from diverse cultures and life experiences. I speak English, Malay and Tamil. I am in a continuous journey of learning Icelandic. Over the past years I have also taken up Japanese, Spanish, Hindi and  French and although I may not speak them anymore, I found that it gave me a deeper understanding of the different cultures, through learning those languages.

Currently, I am  a  board member of SALM – Félag sálmeðferðarfræðinga (Psychotherapy Association of Iceland) and a member of the North American Drama Therapy Association (NADTA).
